The Power of Now, Stillness Speaks, and A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle completely changed my life. The idea that the present moment is all there is and how our ego/mind lives to distract us from it was a big revelation to me. So much so that I ended up starting the Santa Monica Eckhart Tolle meetup: www.meetup.com Once you clearly see that it is your attachment to your thoughts that is causing you to suffer, it is possible to allow them to be without needing to “do” anything about them. To rest in the ever present Awareness that is your True nature because it is the only thing that does not come or go, yet itself can never be known simply because it is already what you are! Realization of this is called Enlightenment, Awakening, or simply Freedom.     Finally picked up this book and started to read, of course it’s already got an “Oprah” sticker/lable on it lol, but seriously if you are doing A Course In Miracles, I suggest you read A New Earth as a guide because it fits right in with The Course.

    I don’t understand why so many religious folks feel threatend by this guy. He’s very genuine and nothing he says should be seen as blasphemous. Just my opinion.

    HIS BOOK ” A NEW EARTH” MADE A LOT OF SENSE TO ME …AFTER SOME PRACTICE , LIVING IN THE PRESENT AND LETTING GO OF MY EGO ,THINGS STARTED TO CHANGE AND LIFE BECAME MUCH MORE MEANINGFULL..I COULD GIVE A LOT OF EXEMPLES TO HOW MY LIFE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER BUT THERE IS JUST NOT ENOUGH ROOM ON THIS PAGE….SO THANK YOU ECKHART TOLLE ……OH !     I will always love Eckhart Tolle. I think it was his book The Power of Now that really started me on the spiritual path. I must have read that book a dozen times.

    Why do you believe these things? I’m going to guess that it’s because you’ve been told these things for a long time.
    Why don’t you forget what people are telling you (including people like eckhart) and ask “god” what the truth is. If you do this and receive an answer but if differs than what you’ve been told, which one will you believe? What you’ve been told or your own experience? Please let me know, either way. I’m curious.

    Then you don’t understand Christ who is God. Tolle knows nothing of God/Christ/Holy Spirit. Would Tolle tell you you are lost and dead in trespasses and sins? No. Would Tolle tell you the only way to be forgiven and have eternal life is thru Christ? No.Then Tolle is lying,knowingly or unknowingly. The only One who knows anything of eternity is the God who is eternal. God has always existed. God has the only plan for salvation. Through His Son Christ Jesus

    God is Still..No thingness..We All are eternal because this moment is it..no future, no past, your whole life is this one moment..Eternity isnt hard to grasp as it once was, when i sense deep down that its here right now..Thank You Tolle..I now understand GOD..I dont need any beliefs to back me up

    Oprah made yet another persona a millionaire, because people hold her up as their conscious their guide their life. Also she did not learn a lesson form the author ” a million pieces” she swore by this man and his writing, said it was electrifying and meaningful like she had never known…yet this guy turned out to be a phony. She like it it must be the truth and the light, just like you sheep..remember Frye,he is keeping his 12 million he made even though he was found out to be a fraud,think!
